Steel Bascinet Helm
designed specifically for
SCA heavy combat
.  Made in either
14 ga. Cold Roll Mild or 14 ga. Stainless Steel
this helm is the result of over a decade of refinement and improvement resulting in an appealing form with superior fit and function.  It is
available
in the two metal varieties both 14 ga and both ruggedly intended for full contact, with stainless steel being slightly tougher and less maintenance.
IMPORTANT UPGRADE: This is the most recent generation of fighting helms that have been refined over more than a decade.  Beyond the superb helm geometry, some of our helms now include a 4 point chin harness system.

Mild Steel XL
NOTE:  Any helm marked as RESERVED in the dropdown is already set aside for a specific customer.  Please do not purchase from that listing if you are not the person we are already working with.
The size large mild steel helm does NOT include a chin harness and is priced lower as a result.

Large:
Height measured from inside peak is 11 3/4" when measured straight down and 15" when measured to junction of bar grill.
Interior Width is 8 1/2" ear to ear and 7 1/4" at opening.
Interior Depth is 11 1/2" from bar grill to back of helm.
Extra Large:
Height measured from inside peak is 12 1/2" when measured straight down and 16" when measured to junction of bar grill.
Interior Width is 10" ear to ear and 8 3/4" at opening.
Interior Depth is 12 1/2" from bar grill to back of helm.
These are delivered with a high polish.
They are very "head shaped" and will provide ample room for nearly every large headed fighters because of the particular attention that has been paid to the need for padding and being specifically designed and manufactured for SCA combat.
