Built of heat formed Polypropylene articulated onto natural and synthetic leather, these gauntlets are equipped with a heavily padded mitten-style fighting glove with a nash palm and a plate reinforced and fully padded cuff that extends down from the bend of the wrist about 4.5" (or 11cm). The back of the hand and fingers are protected by overlapping polypropylene plates which will deliver excellent durability with high resistance to cracking.
This means that you'll get exceptional protection for your entire hand and fingers.  The thumb is normally an area of greater vulnerability but this gauntlet includes a purpose made bridging tip piece to shield from impact.  Closure at the wrist if needed is easy to tighten and loosen with a passive friction buckle and pull tab for strap.
This configuration provides comprehensive armor protection for a fighter's hands when engaged in full contact stick or steel fighting.
Weight:
A pair of gauntlets weighs just under 3 lbs (1250 grams) for M/L.  +/- for sizes.  We will be reweighing these shortly for the 1.2 version

Please use the guide below to make the best choice for your hand geometry. All measurements are guidelines, so therefore approximate.
Extra Small
Wrist to end of middle finger: 14-15 cm - about 5 1/2 to 6"
Small
Wrist to end of middle finger: 16-17 cm - about 6 1/4 to 6 3/4"
Medium
Wrist to end of middle finger: 18-19 cm - over 7  to 7 1/2"
Large
Wrist to end of middle finger: 20-21 cm - nearly 8  to 8 1/4"

Extra Large
Wrist to end of middle finger: 22-23 cm - over 8 1/2" to over 9"
Although light in weight, these gauntlets are nearly indestructible and extraordinarily tough. Although some areas ask that exposed plastic be covered in tournaments, this armor stands up well to safety standards in a variety of fighting environments.

Handling time:
