For the serious re-enactor, piratical performer, or anyone who wants a historically accurate looking fabric with heavy duty wash and wear appeal. The Pro Series line is US grown Pima Cotton that is then hand woven in Ecuador on virgin looms (no synthetics ever touch loom). The weave is thick and tactile and has a marvelous hand hewn look and feel. It will stand up to just about any wear you can dish out (aside from battle wounds). Pre-shrunk too. Built with room to spare, these run a full size large. I repeat,

.  This version features a banded collar, laces part way down the chest, and a 2 hole lacing cuff with buttons, so you can choose to use the buttons or tie the wrists instead.
Pay attention to the chest measurements so you don't get overwhelmed with material:
Chest has the following amount of material
(you want about 2-4 inches on either side beyond your chest for the right drape - not a law, just a guideline)
XS - up to 44" chest
S - up to 48" chest,
M - 52",
L - 56",
XL - 60" chest,
2XL - 62" chest,
3XL - 64",
4XL - 66"
5XL - 68"
