Crimson Queen Renfaire Gown

Beauty and grace are the first two things you might think of when you look at this dress. There's also a sense of power. Any lady bold enough to wear such a red could undoubtedly embody all three traits. At the same time, compared to the low necklines of French gowns, this English styled gown has an air of modesty. It comes with three pieces.
The first piece is the bumroll. It is the only under garment given with this outfit. It is made out of crimson imitation silk and matching red cotton. The bumroll is stuffed with premium fiberfill. The red ribbon which ties it closed in the front goes through the whole bumroll so you can be sure that it will have a secure hold once on.
The second piece is the skirt. It is made out of a crimson, imitation silk. The style of the skirt is done like a historical petti-skirt where you tie it from back to front, then front to back. This means that you can access your own pair of pockets (if you'd like to tie any from your waist) through hidden slits at the side. The skirt is knife pleated from back to front to help ensure that the slit is hidden. And the waistband has a stiffening layer of canvas to help hold it smoothly against your body. In the back you will see loops that you can use to keep the front in line with the back. You'll also notice loops on the inside back of the skirt. This is so you can slip your bumroll through to help keep all of the pieces together through a day of walking. There is a wide hemline that you can let out if you need to. A six inch wide brocade layer as well as two rows of trim were added on top of the skirt for both a decorative reason and function - it will help keep the skirt down if a breeze blows by and looks fabulous.
The third piece is the bodice. The bodice is stiffened with a layer of canvas and has boning sewn in about every two inches. This helps the bodice to hold it's shape while it's on the body. The outside of the bodice is the same crimson, imitation silk as the skirt. With the bodice folded back as pictured you'll also see the decorative golden brocade layer. The entire bodice, including the sleeves, is lined with red, 100% cotton. There is a privacy and comfort panel made from brocade and cotton in the front. The front is where you will find the hidden hook and eye closures - the bars/eyes are hidden on the left hand side underneath the decorative trim. They are spaced about every 1 1/2 inches apart. This way helps you dress yourself as well as make sure that there isn't any unseemly gaping no matter what you do.
Measurements are taken at full closure. It may fit those that are smaller. Due to the soft built in stay, it may fit those that have a larger bosom than the estimation given.
